Hi Rose

Ankle straps will break up the line of your leg and make you look shorter. Pointy toe shoes, without straps, will extend the line of your legs to make you look taller. It's all optical illusion and I'm pointing out the illusions, or rather reporting on others who have pointed out the illusions. This post is old but I think it applies to ways to not overemphasize thinness, or do if that's what you want to do.

I would say I'm slender and short. According to this site I'm supposed to avoid ankle cut shoes and wear pointed toe shoes to appear taller, but these are the exact opposite of what you're supposed to wear if you want to be curvier???
