What Trinny and Susannah Body Shape Am I?

I get a lot of questions along the lines of what Trinny and Susannah body shape am I, usually accompanied by some measurements. Telling from a bunch of measurements is not particularly easy. But, there are a few easy steps that will help you categorise your body shape.

And the best person qualified to name your Trinny and Susannah body shape is you! To help you do that (hopefully) I’ve put together a Trinny and Susannah body shape quiz.

So, get down to your underwear (very important as clothes create optical illusions) and look at yourself in a mirror. Look at yourself front on, from the side and, if you can, from the back. Specifically what you’re looking for is what area, if any,  is the widest part. You can get out your tape measure here if it helps but really if you can’t tell just looking then you’re probably fairly proportionate.

When you’ve decided have a look at the quiz below and see if you can work out your Trinny and Susannah body shape. Click on the image to enlarge it.

Remember, it’s quite likely that you will fit into two or more categories so don’t be concerned if you’re not sure. After all, it’s just a way to choose clothes so by being in two or more categories you just have more to choose from.

Good luck, and if you still have questions, please let me know. I’ll do my best to help.

About Lisa

I love clothes and in particular shoes but I'm just such a funky shape I find it hard to find stuff that works for me. I needed a little help and that led to my work on this blog. Turns out I love writing too, as well as helping people so I'm really onto a winner here!

I love your flowchart – could I possibly link to it on my denim resale website? I think it might be a lot easier for buyers to use that than read through the entire DailyMail article (though I do have that already linked). Thanks!

  • Lisa

Thanks for the compliment and feel free to link to the flowchart!

    Hi!

What body shape would you say Miley Cyrus is? She has really broad shoulders, so she’s definitely an inverted triangel. But would you say a Lollipop or a Cornet. She dosen’t have big boobs, more avarage, but she has a defined waist…. Without her shoulders I would say she’s more of an hourglass. What du you think?

I think that Miley Cyrus doesn’t have even the slightest difficulty finding clothes in which case it really doesn’t serve to try and put her in a category. This who body shape thing is just a tool to help those who’re having difficulty selecting clothes eliminate those clothing items that are just not going to work for them. For instance I have big breasts, so any sort of high neckline is just out of the question as it makes me look like I swallowed two melons.

I think that body shape is blown out of proportion because for most people it really just comes down to one aspect of their body that they really need to work with. For me it’s my large breasts, for Miley Cyrus it’s here broad shoulders, for others it’s thighs or whatever.

Some women though, have lots of trouble, with lots of different areas, and there body shape can be a help.

And that’s what I think. Also, I love Miley Cyrus. She rocks, and I love her new look!

  • I Adore Me

I have no idea my body type. About me:
    shoulders – 44
    bust – 42, 36DDD/E (though I don’t feel busty cause of stomach)
    waist – 34
    hips – 42
    size 14 (US)
long legs (for body) w/ a short torso
I don’t feel like my waist is narrow enough to be an hourglass or cello, but my hips/butts are not small enough to an apple type.

    Hi I Adore Me

I think you’re most likely a combination of vase and goblet. Kinda. Sort of. You’re actually really well proportioned which is a vase / hourglass sort of thing. What issues are you having that you’re looking to find your shape?
