Thank you Danielle. It's so nice to hear someone agrees with me. It seems to be a weird thing that people are just not sure how to deal with women with large breasts. As if we're somehow either amazining sexually talented (yeah right!) or, as you say, the fat girl.

I'm an F cup. Sometimes a double FF. It's like a shameful little secret I have to whisper in case someone finds out. Ugh!

Oh, THANK YOU LISA!! It's SO NICE to hear someone else feels this way! I've been at least a D cup since 8th grade. I even had a reduction at 19 because I was almost an F (and a size 10/12 at the time) but by 23 it was all mostly back where it started. Now I'm a size 14 (no matter how hard I try I never seem to get below a 12 without hurting myself) and a 38DD/40D. Sometimes I love my curves. Other times I feel like either a sex object or a "fat girl" and I can't tell you (though I'm sure you understand) what an emotional roller coaster it is sometimes. Thank you so much for posting this. I feel better already.
xoxo

Thanks Evelyg

You've exactly right. Stupid skiiny stick girl thing. It's annoying and just plain wrong.

As to shape; the definitions of shape are about ratios between your shoulders, waist and hips. You can be curvy and be a rectangle. You can be skinny and be an hourglass if the ratios are right.

Just because you have curves doesn't make you an hourglass. I have huge curves and I'm definitely pear shaped. I have large breasts as well and a tiny waist so reasonably I should be an hourglass. But I have problems fitting my lower half (I have wide hips and flat butt and big thighs). It wasn't until I started taking some ideas from pear shaped that I found things worked for me.

Also don't just look at style for a rectangle. These are just ideas, from lots of different sources. Make your own idea. Choose what works for you. At the end of the day no-one knows what works for you better than you!

What sucks is I don't have skinny legs, and I have a waist... But what, i no I'm not really this body shape.

But, what should you wear, if you prefer pants and shorts over skirts and dresses?

I have that problem all the clothing I find in stores is in pink, purple and mostly colors I hate.

Since I'm big on top and big on the bottom. I love the jean Idea I should try it.

Because, you said, I'm a rectangle, but all my evidence points to curvy, and an hourglass.
The answer I have always hated...

But yea, because I'm short, it's good to create the illusion of longer legs.

Big bum as in I have eh, junk in the trunk. And I am to curvy for my own good, but I'm not even close to skinny.

Fat usually distributes evenly for me. But it goes lastly to my hips, after every where else. My family is full of hourglasses, which sucks very much. But my cousin, is like a stick, very little curves.

But I feel way comfy in baggy baggy clothing. Considering that I have a big bust,So clothes isn't something I usually shop for.. I don't have skinny legs, I have a big butt, and I'm not super skinny anywhere.

Hi Evelyg

I would say that you are a rectangle. Your shoulders are wide enough to offset your hips. When you say you have a big bum, do you mean wide hips with quite a flat bottom, in which case definitely rectangle. If you've got narrower hips and "junk in the trunk" you're possibly more towards a rectangle. I hope that helps.

One thing I've learnt from writing this blog is that body shape is just a guide for choosing clothes. There's such an obsession with how we look that overshadows the whole point - which, in my opinion, is how we feel about the way we look. For me, if I dress in a way that suits me, I feel more comfortable.

Good luck

Ok so I'm..

Shoulders: 36 It wasn't super super tight but it wasn't loose. But if I went tighter It'd maybe be 34 or 35

Waist: 32 but I'm not skinny but it looks like an hourglass but not that thin. I'm kind of slim.
Hips: 36 I have a big bum.

Just to add my bust is, 36

So what body shape am I?
I get fairly insecure about my body considering most girls I know are still flat chested and developing...

Most of my family is really curvy. My mom was really curvy when she was really skinny.

Thanks a lot,

Hi Yemmy - this calculation works off of shoulder width, not bust, because as you say, you've large cup size but how are your shoulders? Are you narrow or wide? I have large breasts and so does my daughter. However she's wide across the shoulders and I'm very narrow. From the back she looks proportionate and I look very bottom heavy!
