The Goblet is described as broad shoulders, big boobs, no waist, narrow hips, long legs.
Basically you’ve got it all going on up the top. You’re likely to have a large bust and ample belly. Your shoulders are wide and while your bust is large the cup size may not be huge but you’re wide around your back. By contrast your hips are narrower and, given your belly, this makes you look like you’ve got no waist to speak of. Your legs are your best feature being slender and shapely and probably long as well, although they can also tend toward very slender.
Dressing The Goblet
There is a lot of difference between your upper and lower body and the trick for goblets is to to de-emphasize the top half and make use of those great legs.
Don’t – wear baggy clothes, particularly on your bottom half, as it will simply make you look bigger and, worse, you’ll feel unkempt.
Do – wear empire waisted shirts and dresses to give you a smaller waist and provide drape over your stomach.
Don’t – wear the brightest colours on your top half as you’ll simply draw attention to the difference between top and bottom.
Do – opt for low rise pants and jeans so that you can wear trousers and pants to fit your slender legs rather than fitting your stomach.
Don’t – wear chunky heels; your legs are too slender and it will simply make them look thinner again and of course your top half look bigger.
Clothing – what to avoid
Shift dresses – you need shape in your dresses to draw the eye where you want it to be. A shift is basically going to look like a sack on you.
Double breasted jackets – a double breasted jacket widens the top half which is something you definitely don’t want to do.
Wide leg pants – you have great legs and you need to show off the shape of them. The trick is to do it in a way that compliments your top half.
High neck lines – a high neck or slashed neck top or dress will squish up your breasts and make them look bigger.
Chunky sweaters – chunky knits or even tops with tassels or any sort of embellishment will add volume to your top half: ie make you look bigger.
Square heels – they make you legs look smaller which in turn will make your top look bigger again.
Clothing – what shapes to look for
Low waisted slim jeans – rather than opt for pants that cover your stomach and are baggy around the legs find jeans and pants that fit your legs and hips. Look for a low rise pair that will sit under your belly. You have great legs and it’s important to make use of them.
Deep wide-neck top – as for anyone with large breasts is very important to open up your chest with wide necklines. The more you open up the less emphasis on your breasts. This is a great example because the ruching over the bodice of the top acts as a disguise for any belly ripples. The colour is neutral which further de-emphasizes the top half and the length is great to work with low rise pants.
Empire waisted top – a v-necked top that overlaps in a “wrap” effect is a great way to lessen the effect of big breasts. It effectively cuts through the middle. Paired with an empire waist line which circles the body just under the breasts at the narrowest part it has the effect of making your waist seem very narrow. The skirt draping over your tummy is an added benefit.
Fitted jacket – opt for a jacket that shorter and sits just on your hips. An open neckline is a must and keep it simple with single breast and one button. Look for a jacket that is fitted through the waist as it will give you definite shape.
Scoop neck dress – open up your chest with a scooped neck to make your breasts more manageable. The empire waist line will draw attention to your narrowest part and then the rest will flow lightly over your stomach and hips.
Tight skirt with fluted hemline – a skirt made of a heavy fabric, like suede, tweed or denim, is great for holding in rounded stomachs. The panelled upper panel contains the belly whilst the fluted hemline adds curve and flirtiness around the legs and will make your hips look more curvaceous.
Round, thicker heels – your legs are slender enough to pull off a stiletto it would draw attention to your heavier upper body. Chose a round shoe that echos your curves with a thicker, but not chunky heel.
