I love this outfit that Cameron Diaz is wearing. It’s simple, elegant, feminine and best of all, timeless.
Which means what exactly? It will work for most women from 20’s through to 50’s plus with a few simple changes.
20’s: Break out your sexiest, figure hugging jeans and add super high nude heels
30’s: Find a waistcoat that has a bit of extra bling or fantastic tailoring
40’s: match with a killer pair of animal print heels for that extra zing
50’s plus: swap the jeans for denim trousers in a dark wash for a more classic look
The pieces that make up this outfit are easy to find in one way or another.

WILL IT WORK FOR MY SHAPE?
Cameron Diaz is a Cornet in the shapes of Trinny & Susannah or bigger on top meaning she has broad shoulders and is fairly straight up and down otherwise. Most models are this shape. Which doesn’t mean that this outfit won’t work for you unless you’re the same shape or if, like me, you’re a whole lot curvier than Ms Diaz.
This outfit is going to be great as is for a Cornet and Lollipop.
If you’re a Column or a Vase it could be a better idea to swap the short sleeved tee for a long sleeve. Also for a Vase you need to make sure that the tee has a good scoop and the waistcoat is v-necked.
If you’re an Apple or a Bell or a Brick you might want to leave this one alone. The tailoring through the middle is not going to work for you. Alternatively swap out the waistcoat for something more flowing and wear it open to create vertical lines down the front of your body.
For all those Pear and Skittle ladies this layered look will work fabulously for you but you need to change a couple of things. Move away from skinny leg jeans to a wide leg and change the scoop neck tee to a boat neck. You could also deal with the waistcoat having a higher neckline or even lapels.
For a Cello or Hourglass this will work well if the waistcoat is deeply v to accommodate your breasts and paired with a straight or wide leg jean. Loose the belt though.
Goblet’s you have fabulous legs so the jeans will look great but take extra care with the waistcoat. Make sure it’s nipped in at the middle and ends on your hips for best effect.
